It ascribes the oracles of chapters 58-66 to Isaiah of Jerusalem and situates them in the aftermath of the Assyrian invasion of 701 and in the Jubilee year of 700-699. It sees the oracles as documenting the arrival of an anonymous conqueror from victory in Edom in the east to deliver the cities of Judah in the south and west.
